Central Analytical Services
The Central Analytical Services department is the central point of contact for all inquiries related to organic trace analysis using gas and liquid chromatographic techniques. In addition to routine analytical services, our core competencies include the development, validation, optimization, and implementation of customized analytical methods as well as the introduction of new analytical parameters.
Our team has many years of experience in trace-level analysis, method development, validation, and routine testing. Supported by modern analytical instrumentation, including GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, SFC-MS/MS, and LC with UV/fluorescence detection, we are able to identify and quantify a broad spectrum of organic compounds across a wide range of matrices.
A key focus of our work is the continuous development of our analytical capabilities. This includes establishing new methods, optimizing and extending existing procedures, responding to emerging analytical and regulatory requirements, and continuously strengthening the expertise of our team.
We work closely with internal departments to provide high-precision, reliable, and accredited analytical services for a comprehensive range of organic trace contaminants and other target compounds using advanced chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques.
Our analytical scope includes:
- Pesticides and their metabolites, including multi-residue methods
- Haloacetic acids (HAAs)
- Bisphenols and their derivatives, such as bisphenol A (BPA)
- Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including PFAS-20 and PFAS-4
- X-ray contrast media, including iodinated contrast agents
- Cyanobacterial toxins, such as anatoxin-a, microcystin-LR, and cylindrospermopsin
- Regulated and environmentally relevant organic trace contaminants, including nonylphenol, octylphenol, acrylamide, 1H-benzotriazole, and methyl-1H-benzotriazole
We also specialize in the determination and quantification of:
- Acrylates and methacrylates, including monomers and oligomers
- Alkanes and alkenes
- Amines, including primary, secondary, tertiary, and aromatic amines
- Isocyanates, including monomeric and polymeric compounds such as TDI, MDI, and HDI
- Phthalates
- Polymer additives, processing aids, and process-related organic by-products
Our analytical work is performed within a quality management framework in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, ensuring a high level of accuracy, precision, reliability, and traceability. Our method portfolio is continuously expanded and refined to address new analytical challenges, customer-specific requirements, emerging contaminants, and evolving regulatory demands.
Neben etablierten Routineverfahren bieten wir die Entwicklung, Validierung und Optimierung maßgeschneiderter analytischer Methoden an. Abhängig von Matrix, Zielparameter, Konzentrationsbereich und analytischer Fragestellung In addition to established routine methods, we offer the development, validation, and optimization of customized analytical methods. Depending on the sample matrix, target analyte, concentration range, and analytical objective, we develop or adapt suitable procedures for sample preparation, extraction, clean-up, chromatographic separation, and quantification.
As a development-oriented department, we also participate in research projects. We are able to address the specific needs of the academic community across a very broad spectrum of methodologies and analytical approaches, and, where necessary, establish new matrices and methods.
